For the last 30+ years, our client has manufactured purpose built pumping systems designed to their client's requirements and specifications with a proven reputation of quality, reliability and service, supplying to a wide range of clients in the Mining, Oil & Gas, Construction, Heavy Industry and Utilities industries.
Due to our client expanding, they are seeking an experienced Grade A Electrician to join their Offsite Repairs Team, based out of their Canning Vale workshop.
The Role
Our client manufactures custom water management and pumping equipment to suit specific client requirements, with equipment deployed across mining and industrial sites throughout Australia.
As a Grade A Electrician within the Offsite Repairs Team, your work will focus on servicing, maintenance, electrical installation and testing of pumping equipment returning from field operations. This role suits an electrician with a strong mechanical mindset who is comfortable working across both electrical and mechanical components of skid and trailer mounted equipment.
Equipment serviced may include;
* Fire Fighting Skid Based Pumps
* Trailer Based Pumps
* High Pressure Pump Skids
* Diesel Powered Pump Skids
* Bore Pump Skids
Your duties will include working from electrical drawings, service documentation and testing procedures while carrying out;
* Electrical fault finding and repairs on pumping equipment
* Electrical installation and replacement of motors, control systems and components
* Testing and commissioning of repaired equipment prior to dispatch
* Electrical fitting and termination of motors, panels and associated equipment
* Assisting with mechanical component replacement associated with pump and trailer systems
* Fitting and terminating completed equipment onto test rigs
* Monitoring and testing equipment during operational testing
A key part of the role also involves moving equipment within the workshop using forklifts, particularly skid mounted equipment and large components.
The Candidate
Candidates must have the following in order to be considered;
* Grade A Electrical Licence
* Strong mechanical aptitude or mechanical background
* Experience in electrical installation, testing and fault finding
* Current Forklift Licence
* Current Drivers Licence
Candidates with the following experience will be looked on favourably;
* Experience servicing or repairing pumping or water management equipment
* Experience working on skid or trailer mounted equipment
* Experience reading electrical line drawings and panel layouts
* Experience working with motors, drives and control systems
* Experience assisting with or undertaking mechanical fitting duties
* Experience operating forklifts to move heavy or irregular freight

Working Hours & Remuneration
This is a temp to perm role where after 3-6 months, the client has the intention to sign you over onto permanent employment.
* 7.00am - 3.30pm with occasional overtime
* $ $60.00 Per Hour + OT + Super
