Human Resources Officer - (6-Month Contract)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Officer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis (Possibility to extend). This specialist role will focus on recruiting talented professionals for disability support positions, with a focus on casual worker conversion project.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies for disability support workers.
Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including job posting, candidate screening, and interviews.
Lead our casual conversion project to transition high-performing casual employees to permanent positions.
Collaborate with NDIS service delivery teams to understand staffing requirements.
Build relationships with industry networks to identify qualified candidates.
Conduct skills assessments and reference checks.
Ensure compliance with employment regulations and equal opportunity policies.
Provide regular recruitment performance reports to management.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in recruitment, preferably in disability services or healthcare.
Strong understanding of NDIS frameworks, SCHADS award and workforce requirements.
Experience with casual to permanent employee conversion processes.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet recruitment targets.
Knowledge of relevant employment legislation and best practices.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years experience in HR recruitment, preferably in disability or health services sector.
Relevant tertiary qualifications including - Diploma in Human Resources; or Certificate IV in Human Resources Management or equivalent; or significant demonstrated experience in recruitment for disability services.
Successful experience in implementing casual to permanent conversion strategies and high-volume recruitment for disability support roles.
A sound working knowledge of relevant employment legislation, NDIS framework, SCHADS award, and the disability services landscape.
Ability to assess staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
A valid Blue Card and Yellow Card/NDIS National Screening Check.
Police Check.
