The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team in our Adelaide office on a Permanent Full-Time basis. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with numbers, and takes pride in delivering accurate and reliable financial outcomes.

As a key member of the Finance function, you will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining financial records, supporting audits, and ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time. You will also collaborate closely with teams across the business, providing financial support and insights that enable effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

* Process accounts payable invoices accurately and on time, ensuring correct coding, approvals, and compliance with financial policies.

* Maintain financial records including bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.

* Prepare routine financial reports such as expenditure summaries, cash flow reports, and account reconciliations.

* Monitor budgets, track expenses, and provide financial data to support planning and decision-making.

* Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

* Respond to financial queries from internal stakeholders, assist with payroll support tasks, and collaborate on forecasting and budgeting activities.

Your background

* Strong knowledge of accounting principles with practical experience in accounts payable or general accounting.

* High attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

* Proficient in accounting software and systems, with strong Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting.

* Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.

* Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
