The Role
As the Principal Communication and Engagement, reporting directly to the Manager Community and Engagement, you will lead a small Communications and Engagement Team in the delivery of Council's Communications and Engagement strategies, initiatives and practices. You will influence behaviours across the Organisation in order to preserve Council's brand and the quality of standards and practices related to the Communications and Engagement disciplines.
About You
You will have a degree qualification in the communications or engagement field or the ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge gained through work experience. Along with demonstrated leadership experience, you will be able to demonstrate an ability in stakeholder engagement to ensure effective relationship building. It is also essential that you have high proficiency in written and oral communications skills, as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and digital communications platforms. Knowledge of media environments in addition to knowledge and capability of photography and video skills is also required to achieve the strategic accountabilities of this role. – See full list of Essential and Desirable selection criteria in the Position Description.
