Direct Personnel are currently seeking a trade-qualified Fitter & Turner / Fitter Machinist to join a well-established engineering business known for delivering high-quality solutions across multiple industries.
This is a great opportunity for a trades person who enjoys variety in their work. From precision machining and component fabrication to on-site repairs and modifications, no two days are the same.
You’ll be working with an experienced team in a well-equipped workshop while also supporting occasional onsite projects.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Performing fitting and machining tasks in a workshop environment
* Repairing and modifying mechanical components and equipment
* Fabricating parts and assemblies to specification
* Supporting installation, maintenance and repair work on-site when required
* Diagnosing faults and providing practical engineering solutions
* Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
What We Need from You:
* Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner / Fitter Machinist
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
* Experience with general machining, fitting and fabrication work
* Welding experience highly regarded
* White Card required for occasional on-site work
* Reliable, safety-focused and able to work independently or in a team
* Current driver licence and reliable transport
