Job Description
About the Role:
This role will form part of our HR Department on site working back-to-back with colleague across several project sites.
Provide end-to-end HR support to site management and employees across multiple FIFO projects
Manage high-volume ER/IR casework, including grievances, complaints, investigations, performance management, and probation processes
Conduct workplace investigations in line with Eastern Guruma procedures, including interviewing witnesses, drafting allegations, and preparing detailed investigation reports
Maintain accurate ER/IR case trackers and documentation (records of conversation, warnings, PIPs, outcomes)
Support and educate leaders to prepare compliant HR and ER/IR documentation
Deliver ER/IR training and education to site leadership through pre-starts, toolbox talks, and structured sessions
Support Head Office HR initiatives and projects, including end-of-project redundancies and consultation processes
Engage regularly with stakeholders including HR Business Partners, Legal, Payroll, HR team members, and site leadership
Promote employee engagement and respectful workplace behaviours on site
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Criteria:
* Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related field
* 3-5 years' experience as a FIFO Site HR Advisor, ideally within mining, civil construction or facilities management
* Strong end-to-end ER/IR experience, including investigations and case management
* Sound working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and general WHS obligations
Confident working autonomously from varied on-site locations (including crib rooms and shared spaces)
Strong judgement, ethics, and attention to detail -particularly in investigations
Able to influence, manage expectations, and respectfully challenge operational leaders
Calm, professional, and measured in emotionally charged situations
Collaborative, team-oriented, and committed to long-term development in the role
