About Your Next Role
* Manage and negotiate supplier and contractor relationships to optimize costs and trading terms
* Drive value through strategic sourcing, value engineering, and effective risk management
* Ensure category price integrity and validate pricing against market competition
* Review and manage retail contracts and service providers to ensure all terms are met
* Interpret sales reports and provide guidance to improve figures and customer engagement
* Track inventory movement and recommend promotions, sales, or price changes
* Collaborate with Area Managers and the Pricing Department on store‐specific ranging and new business ideas
* Travel to remote store locations via light aircraft or 4WD to review ranges and assist field teams
What we look for
* At least three years of experience in a retail buying or similar procurement role
* Proven expertise in contract management and high-level negotiation
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems using data
* Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to people of various language and ethnic backgrounds
* The ability to remain calm and effective when working under pressure
* Remote retail or logistics management experience is highly desirable
Mandatory Requirements
* Unrestricted NT driver's license (or the ability to obtain one)
* Ability to travel to remote communities, which may involve small light aircraft with strict weight safety limits (140kg)
