About the Role
This is a true business partnering position with a strong focus on projects. As a key member of our team, you will provide financial advice and project accounting services to senior project leaders and grant holders. Your work will directly support decision making around cost management, budgeting and forecasting.
Success in this role comes from your ability to work autonomously. You will partner with stakeholders, guide project leaders and provide insights that shape financial strategies without needing to rely heavily on a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with project leaders to provide financial advice and support
* Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts and reporting
* Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, policies and funding requirements
* Prepare business cases to guide strategy and prioritisation
* Build trusted relationships as the go-to financial advisor for your portfolio
About You
We are seeking a proactive and confident accounting professional who thrives in an advisory and project-based environment.
Requirements:
* Degree qualifications in Accounting, Business or Commerce (CPA or CA qualified or working towards)
* Strong financial accounting, analysis and reporting skills
* Proven experience in project accounting and business partnering
* The ability to work independently and take ownership of your portfolio
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience advising in complex, compliance-driven environments
