Enterprise architect contract with a well-established local government
Your new company
Hays Technology are currently partnered with a well-established local government to appoint an experienced Enterprise Architect for an intal 6 months contract with an extension.
Your new role
As an ICT Enterprise Architect and member of the Digital Innovation & Technology Team you will:
* Evaluate client's enterprise architecture requirements through a review of existing reports and artefacts
* Work with a Business Analyst to engage with the client Officers to assess the level of architectural maturity across Client's operational departments
* Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to map and document a business systems architecture
* Recommend and establish a suitable enterprise architecture framework for council, including documenting an options analysis
* Carry out an options analysis and make recommendations for suitable enterprise architecture tools and software
* Act as a key point of contact, providing expert technical advice to management and other stakeholders on Enterprise Architecture matters
* Identify Enterprise Architecture roadblocks, optimise routes, and ensure the organisation moves efficiently towards business goals.
* Implement governance for Enterprise Architecture by defining roles, responsibilities, and oversight mechanisms.
What you'll need to succeed
* Minimum 8 years working in an enterprise architecture role, or demonstrated relevant experience in a similar role or a role requiring a similar skill set.
* Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in enterprise architecture.
* Demonstrated ability to set and manage expectations on solution outcomes with business stakeholders.
* Highly developed ability to understand evolving technologies and their application to Council's operations.
* Ability to align technology strategies with business goals and security requirements
* Strong experience engaging across business and technical domains
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
