At Thynk Cafe + Bar, our kitchen team is the heart of what we do. We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced Kitchen Assistant / Cook to work alongside and support our Head Chef in a fast-paced café environment.
This is a casual role with consistent weekly hours, ideal for someone who enjoys early starts and being part of a tight-knit team. Must be available to work Saturdays.
About the Role
* Assisting the Head Chef with daily food preparation and service
* Basic cooking and plating during breakfast and lunch service
* Food prep including chopping, portioning and stock rotation
* Dishwashing and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen
* Following food safety and hygiene procedures
* Supporting occasional catering and small functions
Our café operates between 6:00am and 3:00pm, Monday to Saturday, so availability for early morning shifts is essential.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous kitchen experience in a café or commercial kitchen (experience required )
* Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods
* Punctual, reliable and able to work independently
* Good communication and team attitude
* Understanding of basic food safety practices
* Availability for 3 days per week (15–25 hours)
