Join Our Team! Machine Operator Needed - Immediate Start at Gladstone
Reporting to the Yard Manager, you will join a dynamic team responsible for sorting, grading, purchasing, and processing scrap metal using various types of heavy equipment. This is a full‐time position with an immediate start available.
Responsibilities
* Operate the 30T Excavator and/or Material Handlers to load/unload trucks, skips, bins, trailers, and break down large used steel items for recycling.
* Accurately grade and sort scrap metal materials.
* Maintain a safe and tidy site in compliance with all OH&S policies and environmental guidelines.
Qualifications
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* A can‐do attitude and willingness to learn and build new skills through training.
* Excellent attendance, reliability, and attention to detail.
* An Excavator ticket and a minimum of 5 years of operational experience (essential).
* Material Handler experience using five‐grapple and other shear operations (desirable).
