We are seeking a motivated and experienced Heavy Diesel Leading Hand to join our team on an 8/6 Roster. This role entails working 12-hour day shifts exclusively. Day Shift Only
As a leader, you will manage a comprehensive Maintenance Team, assisting with the maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of heavy diesel vehicles and equipment. Your responsibility will be to ensure that all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of diesel mechanics.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
* Coordinate maintenance schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
* Maintain accurate service records and report to management.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* Recognised National Trade Qualification/ QF Certificate III Diesel Motor Mechanic - Heavy Commercial Vehicles (or equivalent)
* Extensive experience with diagnosis, overhaul, repair, tune, maintain and testing of a range of diesel-powered heavy equipment including trucks, excavators, dozers, and other earth moving equipment
* Extensive experience in Heavy Haulage Prime movers such as MACK and Kenworth trucks and Trailers would be beneficial
* Experience and/or recognised training with CAT heavy earth moving equipment desirable
* Completing required safety duties such as job inspections, task planning, JHAs, take 5s and others as required
* High level of understanding of maintenance and reliability principles
* Experience in a contracting environment and proven customer focus
* Current unencumbered WA C Class Drivers License
* High Risk Work License – Forklift Ticket would be beneficial but not necessary
* Completing required safety duties such as job inspections, task planning, JHAs, take 5s and others as required
* High level of understanding of maintenance and reliability principles
* Experience in a similar mining civil contracting environment and proven customer focus
* Current unencumbered WA C Class Drivers License minimum
* High Risk Work License – Forklift Ticket would be beneficial but not necessary
