Team Leader
BBDisability & Health Services is a fast-growing NDIS Registered Organization in the Disability sector in New South Wales. We are looking for a self-driven, motivated and experienced Team Leader to manage the ongoing service delivery and also to upscale our services.
About the Role
BBDisability & Health Services is seeking an experienced Team Leader to manage the day-to-day service and assist in the management of Disability Accommodation (Supported Independent Living-SIL) and care provision. This is a full-time position (potential to change permanent based on performance review ) operating Monday- Friday 8am-4.30pm. This role will lead, supervise a team of support workers and make sure that the participants are getting best outcomes. Also, this position will liaise with other stakeholders involved in the care of participants. This Position reports to the Team Coordinator.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating and managing the daily operations of the services- group homes and services to the participants in the community.
* Assist the management in administration, liaison with stakeholders, families / carers of participants.
* Assist the organisation in care coordination and maintenance pf high quality service provision with proactive liaison BBDisability operational team.
* Oversee documentation and reporting of support workers in line with NDIS legislative requirements/ Practice Standards and BBDisability policies and procedures.
* In-depth Knowledge of implementation of Behaviour Support Plans, Restrictive Practices, DCJ Portal documentation, reportable incidents and reporting requirements.
* Attend meetings and regular in person contact with our participants and support worker teams
* Maintaining safe and healthy workplace by implementing and adhering to Workplace Health and Safety Procedures
* Participation in on call roster on a rotational basis
* Thorough knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards, Disability Act 2014
* Advanced computer competencies.
* Unrestricted Driving License
About You
Essential criteria:
* Thorough knowledge about NDIS and excellent skills in assisting participants with a disability, keeping a family inclusive care model.
* Able to develop excellent rapport with the participants/ their carers/ family members and carry a compassionate and kind attitude. Able to liaise effectively with all the stakeholders involved in eth care of participants.
* Advanced skills in efficient and effective high quality service delivery and management and also contribute to the organisational development
* Excellent competencies in team building and in-house presentations/training
* Well-developed critical /analytical thinking and effective problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated advanced skills in verbal and written communications to meet the NDIS documentation requirements (Eg: Restrictive Practices reporting, DCJ Portal work up relating to BSP submissions and approvals etc.)
* Exceptional time management skills
* Ability to apply relevant policies and procedures in the workplace, includes WHS procedures and implementing continuous quality improvement tactics
* Strong understanding about antibullying and related legislation in NSW.
* A thorough working knowledge of Microsoft systems
Essential requirements:
* Hold a current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Clearance
* CPR and First Aid
* Police Clearance
* Unrestricted driving license
Desirable criteria:
* Bachelor's Degree in Allied Health (Social Work/ OT/ Psychology/Nursing) with 2-3 years' experience in managing support teams.
