Who is Nut Producers Australia?
Nut Producers Australia (NPA) is an almond and pistachio processing and marketing business with a charter to maximise returns to growers and has an annual turnover of over $100 million. The business is a collective of three companies: NPA, the Marketing and Administration company based in Adelaide, Riverland Almonds in Loxton, and Australian Pioneer Pistachio Company in Robinvale, Vic. NPA also engages in product trading to support business growth.

Australian Pioneer Pistachio Company (APPC) is one of Australia’s largest privately owned pistachio growers and processors. As pioneers in producing and marketing locally grown Australian pistachios, we are committed to investing in innovation and technology.
Located in Robinvale in the Sunraysia region of Victoria, APPC benefits from ideal conditions for pistachio cultivation. We recently expanded our hulling and grading plant to include roasting and packing facilities.
APPC is part of Nut Producers Australia (NPA), which manages sales, product trading, and marketing. NPA comprises three companies: NPA in Adelaide; Riverland Almonds (RA) in Loxton, SA; and APPC in Robinvale, Vic.
About the role:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for servicing and repairing processing equipment at APPC, diagnosing operational issues, and implementing solutions efficiently, prioritizing safety, quality, and cost control.
Ensure machinery involved in processing is operational with minimal downtime.
Perform repairs or coordinate repairs of mechanical parts, with approval from the maintenance manager.
Identify and report potential issues affecting efficiency to the Maintenance Manager.
Complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
Record and report inefficiencies, collect data for analysis.
Implement maintenance programs as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
Follow preventative maintenance systems.
Document all work, including spare parts and consumables used.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workshop areas.
Follow monthly work plans and report on machinery serviceability.
Assist in planning maintenance schedules for processing equipment.
About you:
Proficient in welding techniques: MIG, TIG, Arc, Oxy.
Hydraulic system knowledge.
Previous maintenance or repair industry experience.
Mechanical aptitude and practical skills.
