Be part of a once-in-a-generation digital transformation in healthcare. Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) will implement the Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR), a major state-wide initiative consolidating multiple systems into one unified digital health record. As a Change Lead, you'll lead clinical transformation, ensure frontline staff are ready for change, and help services realise the full benefits of this landmark program.

What You'll Be Doing
Lead the change – Drive and embed change and adoption strategies aligned with the HNE Excellence framework.
Partner with stakeholders – Work closely with clinical teams (nursing, medical, allied health, pharmacy), ICT, and leadership to manage change across all levels of the organisation.
Coach and guide – Support executives and managers in their roles as change leaders, ensuring strong sponsorship, clear messaging, and staff engagement.
Enable go-live success – Plan and coordinate go-live support with supernumerary staff and superusers to ensure a seamless transition.
Support project delivery – Integrate change activities into project and implementation plans, working with clinical working groups and committees.
Monitor impact – Lead benefits realisation activities, track progress against key initiatives, and provide regular performance updates to hospital networks.
Collaborate across NSW – Work with eHealth and other LHDs to broaden benchmarking and share learnings across the state.
Leadership Qualities & Requirements
You're a confident Change Leader who thrives in complex environments with a calm, strategic presence to fast-paced projects.
Relevant qualifications and/or industry experience in leadership roles with significant clinical and service transformation.
Experience delivering large-scale change initiatives, ideally in health, human services, or other complex organisations.
Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across disciplines and levels of seniority.
Understanding of healthcare systems, workflows, and clinical operations.
Proven ability to coach executives, managers, and frontline staff through change and transition.
Experience integrating change methodologies into project planning and execution.
A collaborative mindset with a passion for improving healthcare outcomes through technology and innovation.
Eligibility to drive and willingness to travel when needed.
