The Company Robert Half is currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accountant for a well-known and respected not-for-profit organisation based in Parkville. The role will be for three months but could extend to a permanent opportunity. This three month temporary role will give you valuable experience within the not-for-profit sector. Working within a friendly team environment this role will require you to take ownership of the organisation's complex bank reconciliation and funding processes and reporting. The Role Reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will include: Daily Bank Reconciliations Receipting Ensuring funds are allocated to correct general ledger accounts Investigation and resolution of outstanding items Complex reconciliations Working closely with internal teams to ensure all monies received and allocated correctly Month-end reporting Working closely with both finance & non-finance stakeholders General administrative duties Your Profile Proven complex bank reconciliation experience coupled with the ability to meet tight month end deadlines and to work autonomously are essential for this role Additionally, to be successful in this role the following attributes will be required: Excellent attention to detail Proven complex bank reconciliation experience Large ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Technology One) Intermediate / advanced level of Excel (ability to handle large datasets) Ability to meet tight month-end deadlines If you are immediately available and are looking for a role that will open up opportunities within this ever growing and challenging sector and are able to commit to a three month role please call us ASAP.
