Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Practitioner (GP) to join our team at Mareeba Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients in the Emergency Department (ED).
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide primary healthcare services to patients in the ED, including diagnosis, treatment, and referral as necessary
* Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
* Participate in on-call roster, providing after-hours care when required
* Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to patient care
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Completed general practice training and certification
* Experience in emergency medicine or equivalent experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
