We are looking for an organised and experienced Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day accounts and administration of our growing business in Coffs Harbour, NSW.
Do you enjoy variety and being at the centre of a busy, supportive team? Are you confident managing invoicing, reconciliations, and supplier and customer statements, while also lending a hand with general office support when needed?
If you're proactive, detail-focused, and love keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, this could be the perfect role for you.
About the Role
As a key member of our team, you'll manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll and reporting, and work closely with the wider team to keep everything running efficiently and accurately.
Working alongside the Accounts Manager, you'll be supported through a structured handover as they transition toward retirement, giving you time to learn our systems and confidently step into the role.
What you'll be doing
You'll take on a range of responsibilities across bookkeeping and office support, including:
* Managing accounts payable and receivable
* Processing payroll, including onboarding new employees
* Reconciling accounts and supporting invoicing
* Maintaining supplier and customer statements
* Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
* Managing incoming calls and emails, ensuring enquiries are responded to efficiently.
* Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
* Assist with sales administration, data entry, and quoting support
* Keep the office organised and support marketing and management with admin tasks
* Help improve internal systems and processes as the business grows
What we're looking for:
* 3+ years' bookkeeping experience, with strong administration skills
* Cert III or higher in Bookkeeping (or equivalent experience)
* Confident with Microsoft Office and accounting software (Xero preferred)
* Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to meet deadlines
* Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused attitude
* Comfortable following established processes, and confident identifying opportunities to improve or introduce new ones
* Someone who enjoys being part of a small, friendly team where everyone pitches in
* Experience with water, power, irrigation, or plumbing products is a bonus, but not essential (the right attitude matters most)
What we offer:
* A flexible work week culture that values teamwork and balance
* Competitive remuneration (negotiable based on experience)
* Supportive team environment with room to grow as the business expands
* Ongoing training and future development opportunities
* Staff pricing across our full range of products
* We're flexible with hours and open to full-time, part-time, and casual arrangements
