This is a permanent full-time position based in Melbourne/Sydney.
Division and Department
The Digital Division operates, maintains, and delivers digital capabilities for AEMO to ensure the organisation fulfills its obligations across all jurisdictions and markets.
The Gas & Electricity Operations Digital Systems manages critical market applications covering the National Energy Market, Gas Retail Markets, Victorian Gas Wholesale market, Gas Supply Hub, Gas Bulletin Board, and Short Term Trading Market.

Key Responsibilities
* Engage with stakeholders and business users when designing systems, managing expectations, and ensuring understanding.
* Participate in Requirements and Design meetings to contribute to improved project design through peer review and team discussion.
* Ensure system documentation, architecture, software, and data models are cost-efficient, secure, and sound.
* Provide expert knowledge on internal workings of Market systems.
* Develop innovative and quick solutions to support and maintenance needs. Lead a team to deliver assigned solutions.
* Provide after-hours on-call support as required.
Requirements
* Proven experience in mission-critical IT projects, especially high-availability systems.
* Strong experience in software development and support using:
* Microsoft technologies (C# / .Net / ASP.Net)
* Web technologies (RESTful Web Services, HTML5 / CSS / TypeScript / XML / VueJS)
* Middleware integration (Web Methods, APIM, BOOMI)
* Oracle Java technologies 8 or above / JEE / JSP / JDBC beneficial but not essential
* Experience in using Build & Source control tools, unit testing. Review requirements and technical documentation of solution design.
* Detailed knowledge of systems analysis, systems design, SDLC methodologies, and standards used to ensure application integrity.
* Gather AEMO business knowledge in assigned support areas to support stakeholder liaison roles.
