Your New Role
In this 6‐month contract as an Accounts Payable Officer, you'll play an important role in supporting the Fund's day‐to‐day payments, data accuracy and vendor engagement. Working with the Purchasing Analyst and Senior Manager, Financial Control & Reporting, you will help ensure our financial processes run efficiently and support decision‐making through accurate reporting.
Key duties include but are not limited to;
* Monitor vendor payments, expenditure and agreements to ensure value for spend.
* Process and review invoices, purchase orders and payment requests, ensuring adherence to approvals and financial delegations.
* Maintain and track Accounts Payable data in Oracle and reconcile payable reports to ensure accuracy in the general ledger.
* Administer corporate credit cards, maintain petty cash accounts and verify associated documentation.
* Investigate, reconcile and resolve complex accounts payable issues.
* Create and produce ad hoc accounts payable reports, including exception reporting.
* Respond to vendor and internal enquiries and foster strong relationships across the Finance function.
* Ensure risks within the accounts payable function are managed effectively and in line with compliance requirements.
What You'll Need
* Extensive experience in similar accounts payable roles.
* Strong customer service capability, with the ability to respond to supplier and internal queries promptly.
* Analytical and financial management skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Experience using and maintaining accounts payable systems such as Oracle.
* Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and meet deadlines.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
