Child Health Nurse – Newman (Full-time, Permanent)
At Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS), care is relational, not transactional. As our Child Health Nurse, you will walk alongside families to strengthen the early chapters of life through culturally safe, family-centered care. Reporting to the Clinical Lead – Newman, you will lead child health service delivery within our primary health care setting, grounded in community partnership and clinical excellence.
You will:
* Deliver child health checks and developmental screening
* Coordinate childhood immunisations (Newman Clinic)
* Undertake Children in Care (CIC) health checks and interagency liaison
* Support ear health screening and specialist outreach
* Provide case management for children with complex needs
* Partner with families and the multidisciplinary team to deliver education and care planning using Communicare
You bring:
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (min. 3 years' post‐grad experience)
* Experience in primary health care and multidisciplinary teams
* Understanding of ACCHS models and social determinants of Aboriginal child and family health
* Vaccination/NIP certification (or willingness to complete within 6 weeks)
* Strong cultural safety practice; ability to work autonomously in remote settings
* C Class Manual licence and willingness to drive 4WD
* Communicare experience (desirable); Child Health or Midwifery qualifications (highly regarded)
* Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage strongly encouraged

* $121,033.12 – $136,145.80 p.a. (excl. super) + 11% super
