The Position
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Agricultural Administrator to join our Farming team in Piangil. Reporting to the Vineyard Operations Manager and Cropping Manager, this full-time role plays a vital part in supporting both the Vineyard and Farming departments by ensuring seamless administrative operations. From staff scheduling and compliance to safety documentation and seasonal coordination, you'll be the go-to person for keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
Duties
Administrative Coordination
* Act as a liaison between the Farming and Vineyard teams to coordinate administrative tasks.
* Maintain employee rosters, timesheets, and key operational documentation.
* Provide general office support including filing, reporting, and scheduling meetings.
Human Resources Support
* Assist with recruitment and onboarding of seasonal and permanent staff.
* Conduct staff inductions and ensure completion of all required documentation.
* Manage staff scheduling and timesheet approvals
Health, Safety & Compliance
* Collaborate with the Quality and Compliance Officer to meet health and safety standards.
* Keep safety documents and compliance records up to date.
Record Keeping & Reporting
* Maintain training logs, safety records, and compliance documents.
* Support the preparation of operational and performance reports.
General Support
* Assist in organising seasonal activities such as harvest staffing and logistics.
* Support procurement and stock management for farm and vineyard operations.
* Address general staff inquiries in line with company policy.
* Carry out ad-hoc tasks as required by management.
Qualifications & Experience
* Prior experience in a similar administrative role, preferably within agriculture or farming.
* Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
* Knowledge of agricultural safety practices and compliance.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
* Prior experience with Agworld, EZY Systems and Fieldin favourable but not essential
Work Environment
This role is primarily office-based but will also involve regular interaction with farm and vineyard sites. You may be required to conduct on-site visits, support safety audits, or assist in seasonal operations, which can include some light physical duties. A flexible and hands-on approach is essential.
