As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Amazon Web Services, you will be a valued member of the Enterprise Support team who leads our customers to build and run their applications on the AWS platform.
Location: Canberra
Responsibilities
* Build solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for customers
* Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy whilst reducing cost and complexity
* Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges
* Using technical acumen and customer obsession, drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management
* Consult with a range of partners from developers through to C-suite executives
* Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers
* With a bias for action, proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
* Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, and prelaunch planning
* Provide post-sales, consultative expertise as part of the wider Enterprise Support team
* Solve problems across different customers as they migrate workloads to the cloud
* Uplift customer capabilities by running workshops and brown bag sessions
Qualifications
* Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of technical engineering experience; experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for two or more of the following: compute, storage, networking, CDN, databases, DevOps, big data and analytics, security, or applications development in a distributed systems environment; experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings
* Preferred Qualifications: Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environments as a technical lead; working knowledge of software development practices and technologies; understanding of technology budget management; background working with Public Sector customers
