Child and Youth Services Specialist
The role of the Child and Youth Services Specialist is to lead an integrated team in providing intensive, wrap-around therapeutic living arrangements for children and young people. This position involves working collaboratively with various stakeholders and community supports to develop positive relationships and a supportive environment.
Main responsibilities include:
* Leading the team in developing a positive team culture that promotes health and wellbeing.
* Developing relationships with key stakeholders and local community supports to enhance service delivery.
* Contributing to assessments of need and development of individual therapeutic and goal plans.
* Providing supervision and coaching to Youth Workers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to support children and young people effectively.
This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work with challenging behaviour in a trauma-informed way. Ideally, candidates will have training and qualifications in youth work or social work, two years' experience working directly with children/young people in the care system, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality services.
