Due to recent growth, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Spray Technician to join our team.
About the role
As Spray Technician you will be responsible for the application of selected horticultural products including herbicides and pesticides to a variety of landscapes.
This will be undertaken through knapsack spraying, spray rig and tractor operation under the guidance of LAC Supervisors and the Maintenance Manager.
The ability to work on a flexible schedule is a requirement of the role as spraying will be dictated by weather conditions.
Full training on LAC plant and equipment will be provided to the successful candidate.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage and control pests and plant diseases across work sites.
* Report to the Supervisor regarding work progress and site conditions.
* Complete tasks within required timeframes and allocated budgets.
* Deliver a high standard of work that exceeds expectations.
Minimum selection criteria:
* Chemical Application Licence/Spray Ticket
* Ability to identify a variety of weeds, pests and diseases
* Current White Card
* Minimum C Class Driver’s Licence
* Strong commitment to safe work practices
* Ability to work effectively in a variety of weather conditions
* Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety practices
* High attention to detail and pride in your work
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
