**Your new company**
The Department for Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people and places in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public transport networks state-wide, and building and maintaining the State-owned infrastructure enabling the delivery of essential and important government services.
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project is the final piece of the North-South Corridor, the most significant infrastructure project ever undertaken in South Australia. Set to unlock Adelaide's traffic network, the T2D Project will stimulate economic activity, support thousands of jobs and help ensure people, produce and products arrive where they need to be safer and sooner.
**Your new role**
As a senior member of the T2D engagement team you will be an engagement expert with expertise in maximising positive social and economic outcomes. You will lead engagement strategies end to end with a particular focus on the Urban Renewal elements of the T2D Project and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a small team.
Through a dedicated $125m Urban Renewal program, the T2D Project will reinvigorate neighbouring communities along a greener, safer, and more accessible South Road. You will work in partnership with local communities, councils, and others to maximise the social value of these initiatives.
With extensive experience delivering engagement to drive positive social and economic outcomes, you think strategically and have exceptional communication skills. You are politically astute and will provide sound strategic engagement advice to key members of the project team to ensure the social value of the project is maximised.
You will build productive relationships with stakeholders and workcollaboratively alongside your counterparts to proactively identify and address all sensitive issues, create meaningful opportunities for communities and positively communicate the project benefits.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Extensive experience developing and implementing engagement strategies on infrastructure or other complex projects
- Demonstrated extensive experience bringing together project partners to deliver social and economic outcomes
- Experience managing team members
- Ability to analyse trends and inspire creativity producing innovative solutions to improve outcomes
- Superior written and verbal communications skills, delivering clear and concise content appropriate for intended audiences
- Experience in building effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, with the ability to influence senior members of the project team
- Proven ability to accurately and concisely negotiate outcomes that provide a resolution to all involved
- Experience preparing budgets and engagement collateral, with a high level of attention to detail
- A degree in a relevant discipline
- Willing to obtain or hold a valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check
