Strong Hearts offers high-quality, accessible cardiac testing services where it is needed most. Based in Darwin, Strong Hearts offers services locally, but also in regional, rural and remote settings across the Northern Territory. Our team is passionate about providing the highest quality care to our patients and delivering efficient, accurate, guidelines-based test results to our referrers to optimize health outcomes. We have special interest in remote care and specifically rheumatic heart disease with our team consisting of experts in the field. 
Role Description 
Ideally this is full-time role for an echo specialist Cardiac Physiologist, based in Darwin, NT. We are open to discussing the details of employment and would consider fixed-term contracts, part-time and even locum arrangements for the right candidate. The Cardiac Physiologist will be responsible for performing and 
interpreting a range of cardiac diagnostic tests, predominantly echocardiograms. Whilst based in Darwin, travel to regional centres and remote communities is a significant part of the role. Day-to-day tasks include performing cardiac testing, and working closely with colleagues, cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care. 
Qualifications 
Professional certification and registration as a Cardiac Sonographer -current ASAR registration 
Proficiency in performing echocardiograms, stress testing, ECGs and other non-invasive cardiology testing 
Expertise in rheumatic heart disease, or a willingness to learn 
A willingness to travel to regional and remote centres across the NT 
Strong analytical and interpretation skills 
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities 
A desire to contribute to professional development activities
