The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing essential tasks in the analysis of Processing plant samples.
Key responsibilities include operating the Laboratory and associated equipment in a safe and accurate manner, conducting regular checks to ensure reagent stock levels and consumables are maintained, and reporting any electrical or mechanical faults to the Maintenance team.
* Operate laboratory equipment such as the Jaw Crusher, Pulveriser, Dust Extractor, Sieve Shaker, Bottle Roller, and Drying Ovens in accordance with established procedures.
* Ensure all log sheets, checklists, reports, shift diaries, safety and environmental meetings are recorded accurately.
* Obtain competency signoffs to learn and confidently operate sections of the lab.
Job Requirements
This role requires previous experience in a Gold Assay lab, certification in laboratory techniques, and demonstrated experience in AAS operation and maintenance. The successful candidate will also be competent with Microsoft Office Suite, have experience in consumables management, and hold a WA Driver's Licence – C Class.
