About the role:
We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Community Support Workers to join our team in Mornington (Mornington Peninsula Shire), providing high-quality care for a client living with a complex disability, including Coffin Siris Syndrome, Autism, Sleep disturbance, Central Venous Access Device, Total Parenteral Nutrition, Short Bowel Syndrome, and intellectual speech disability.
You will work alongside a registered nurse during overnight shifts only to ensure comprehensive care and support is delivered.
This is a 7-day-per-week care environment, and we are looking for casuals to join our care team. Three shifts per day are available:
* SHIFT 1 - 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
* SHIFT 2 - 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
* SHIFT 3 – 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
We ask each staff member to do at least 2 x 6-hour shifts per week (total 18 hours), covering AM & PM shifts, and 1 overnight shift. You can choose your preferred shift time and day of the week, and we will try to accommodate your preferences where possible.
No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided.

Role responsibilities:
* Deliver support care to clients with complex disabilities.
* Provide high care including domestic assistance, meal preparation, PEG feeding, complex bowel care, manual handling, and companionship.
* Work under the guidance of a registered nurse.
* Support clients with social support, transport to appointments, shopping, or community outings.
* Provide personal care with dignity and respect, such as assisting with showering, grooming, and dressing.
* Interact respectfully with the client's pets while supporting the client.
What we are looking for:
* A passionate, caring, and empathetic personality is a MUST.
* Fluent in English and a clear communicator.
* Certificate III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability, or equivalent is highly desirable.
* A registered and insured vehicle.
* A valid full or probationary Australian driver's license.
* Willingness to learn new skills on the job through training.
* Experience in aged care or community support is highly desirable.
* Experience with high-care clients is highly desirable.
* Current First Aid & CPR certification (mandatory) or willingness to obtain.
* Current Police Check (mandatory) or willingness to obtain.
* NDIS Worker screening check or willingness to obtain.
* Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
