Small racing stable requires staff member who has the following skill sets:Able dress in a tidy, presentable and professional manner always wearing appropriate safety equipment.Being in charge of day-to-day operations of racing stable. Directing other employees. Acting as trainer when lead trainer is absent and on race-dayDiscussing with the lead race horse trainer each horse's performance and any concerns with the fitness or training of the horse after each rideTraining horses for competition under supervision of lead trainerRide in races as requiredExercise horses in the stable.All daily horse husbandry practices: grooming, clipping, feeding, watering, washing etcAssistance in the all treatment of horses. Ensuring the horses well-being and safety.Responsible for nutritional and mineral supplementation of race horses.Climate monitoring to determine the rug needs of each horse, putting on and taking of rugs as appropriate.Attending races on race days and managing horses on these days.Hold horses in preparation for farrier or vet services as required.
