Role Introduction: Cathay Pacific is looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Melbourne Engineering Team to perform maintenance on Cathay Pacific and third party aircraft.
This is a permanent, full-time position.
This role is pivotal in ensuring a high level of safety, reliability, security and presentation is provided to the company, customers and regulatory authorities.
Responsibilities
Working on a shift basis, perform aircraft maintenance for Cathay Group aircraft and third party customers under supervision of the Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or Assistant Engineer Manager.
Monitor third party supplier\'s performance (i.e. technical, ramp services, de-icing, refueling etc.), follow up and rectify any operational issues in a timely manner.
Perform servicing and maintenance for station ground equipment, vehicles, systems and facilities.
Support the contingency plans and ad hoc operational requirements such as diversions, charters, ad hoc aircraft type changes, major disruption recovery, etc.
Provide a high level of customer service.
Promote a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with local Occupational Health & Safety standards.
Requirements
Certificate IV or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance / Engineering.
Experience with wide-body aircraft types, including B787, B777, A350, A330, A380 and B***** Freighter aircrafts.
Excellent organisational skills.
Attention to detail and high level accuracy is imperative.
Sensitive to the requirements of different cultures and personalities.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Proven ability to operate effectively with limited information and working independently without supervision.
Ability to work safely under time pressures.
Willing to work appropriate shifts on a 24 hour, seven day a week roster pattern in accordance with operational requirements.
