Statewide Hospital Pharmacy operates Pharmacy services at the Launceston General Hospital (LGH). The LGH is Tasmania's second largest hospital and the major referral centre for Northern Tasmania. It provides inpatient and ambulatory services to Launceston the surrounding areas and has 349 inpatient beds onsite. The Role
Launceston General Hospital (LGH) is a major referral hospital in the Northern Tasmania, offering a broad range of acute, specialist, and allied health services. As a part of our collaborative pharmacy team, the Dispensary Team Leader will contribute directly to providing a comprehensive, efficient, and accountable pharmacy service for hospital inpatients and outpatients and work in coordination with clinical pharmacists and medical teams to achieve this.
You Will Need
* Extensive experience and advanced knowledge and skills in a range of activities relevant to the area of practice, including dispensing, patient counselling, clinical pharmacy, manufacturing, and medicines information, preferably in a hospital setting.
* Advanced knowledge of, and experience implementing, the standards, relevant legislation, codes of practice and workplace guidelines and frameworks relevant to the area of practice
* Experience in managing resource allocation against competing priorities, including detailed knowledge of pharmaceutical funding processes such as the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme and the Tasmanian Medicines Formulary.

Details Of Appointment
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary:
$123,717 to $134,336 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022
* Please note that access to salaries beyond $130,900 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme

Allowances
* A market allowance of $10,000 per annum pro rata is applicable to this role until 17 May 2026 and will be reviewed prior to expiry
