The Role
If you are a highly motivated logistics officer interested in working in a dynamic health centre workplace, then this position would suit you. Working at the Cerberus Health Centre 80km south of Melbourne on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula, this position is responsible for the ordering, tracking, monitoring, and disposal of goods and equipment used at the health centre, through utilisation of Defence's mandated computer and administrative systems. Reporting to the Practice Manager, you would be a important part of the Health Centre's management, responsible for ensuring effective management of equipment and supplies, and be responsible for assisting in other tasks as required. By staying ahead of issues, you'd ensure any supply problems don't impact the provision of vital health services to Australian Defence Force personnel.
You would supervise and assist other staff to ensure inventory management and provision of health supplies meets legislative requirements and enables good decision-making. Committed to self-improvement and development, you'd take part in audits, stocktakes, and inspections as required, providing advice and technical assistance to achieve outcomes, whilst also ensuring you assist the health centre in achieving broader objectives.
About our Team
Based at HMAS Cerberus, you will be working with an integrated workforce of military, APS and contracted health staff. Cerberus Health Centre is staffed by doctors, nurses, rehabilitation and mental health specialists, dentists, physiotherapists and pharmacists, and also has an in-patient facility. By supporting the health centre, you will be supporting the delivery of health care to serving Australian Defence Force members. The health and wellbeing support provided to Defence members at our health facilities is crucial to the capability of the Australian Defence Force. The facility works collaboratively and collegiately to generate excellent health care results.
