About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Educator to join our Special Care Nursery team at Werribee Mercy Hospital.
This is a pivotal opportunity for someone who is passionate about transforming education in healthcare and empowering nurses and midwives to practice to the fullest extent of their neonatal scope.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with senior nursing and midwifery leaders to develop innovative education programs that meet the needs of our patients and staff.
Key responsibilities include:
* Designing and delivering education programs for nurses and midwives working in Special Care Nursery
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement clinical guidelines and policies
* Evaluating the effectiveness of education programs and making recommendations for improvement
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A current registration as a Registered Senior Nurse or Nurse/Midwife with AHPRA
* Relevant post-registration qualifications and experience in Neonatal Intensive Care or related discipline
* Recent practice in Special Care Nursery
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
