Midwife Position

1. Build trusted relationships through early, supported engagement and ongoing continuity of care.
2. Partner with families alongside a known midwife and child and family health nurse, delivering coordinated, evidence-based care from pregnancy through early childhood.
3. Empower families with seamless service navigation, while ensuring the right support is delivered at the right time.
4. Use digital tools to enhance communication, promote developmental milestones, and keep families engaged and informed.

About The Opportunity
The Midwife will coordinate and deliver high-quality woman-centered continuity of care in accordance with relevant standards and policies.
The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for delivering quality woman-focused, evidence-based midwifery care at an advanced level across all continuums of pregnancy, labour and birth, and the postnatal period.
Additionally, the Midwife will provide leadership, planning, and coordination of care for women in their caseload, and offer support and mentorship to other clinicians.

These services include prevention, early intervention, assessment, acute and post-acute treatment, health maintenance, and continuing care.
We support diverse populations, offering specialized programs for children, young people, older adults, and at-risk communities.
With a dedicated team of over 800 staff members, including Aboriginal Health Workers, nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, we ensure high-quality care close to where people live.
What We Are Looking For
* Current midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated application of the delivery of women-centered care with demonstrated capacity to interact with a multidisciplinary team in a personable and professional manner.
* Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualized women-centered care.
* Demonstrated ability to manage autonomous caseload and flexible on-call hours within the model of care, and excellent competency and proficiency as a midwife in the continuum of pregnancy care with an understanding of effective escalation and emergency midwifery care.
Please note that applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
