Regional Construction Manager APAC/EAM
Main Responsibilities:
1. Lead Interdisciplinary Teams:
* Establish construction methods and support activities.
* Oversight of the construction process.
* Review plans and specifications for costs and constructability.
2. Develop Recommendations:
* Studies, lessons learned, project assessments, new methods optimization of completion of project construction activities.
3. Manage Corporate Processes:
* Compliance with GBU Quality Management System.
* Development of standard construction method.
4. Provide Technical Guidance:
* Consultation, technical guidance, and direction to Construction and other support functions.
* Assists in proposal preparation.
Education and Experience Requirements:
* Grade 28: Bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience.
* Grade 29: Bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 15+ years of relevant experience or 19+ years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
* Thorough knowledge of all phases of construction operations relating to field activities, field engineering disciplines, construction technologies, and project management.
* Extensive understanding of government compliance standards.
* Familiarity with National Codes and Standards as they relate to construction.
* Thorough knowledge of BSAP and utilization of field automation tools.
* Thorough knowledge of the Bechtel Construction Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPP).
* Knowledge of the Six Sigma program and the IMAIC process (Identify, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control).
* A recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, or specialized courses in construction management and/or extensive actual work experience leading to the thorough understanding of the knowledge described above.
