Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority (PAHSMA ) is responsible for the conservation and development of visitor experiences at three of the eleven sites which make up the UNESCO Australian Convict Sites World Heritage Property inscribed in 2010.The Port Arthur Historic Sites are important places of outstanding heritage value at local, state national and international level. They form part of the Australian Convict Sites World Heritage Property and are major Tasmanian tourist attractions, which receive visitors from all walks of life and all parts of the world.

This role will actively lead, coordinate and manage projects/programmes to support the development and delivery of the Conservation and Infrastructure (C&I) priorities and business objectives to ensure our World Heritage Sites are properly managed, protected and presented for future generations to enjoy.Working with the Director C&I, you will coordinate and manage the development and delivery of prioritised C&I projects, ensuring each project or workflow meets agency standards and best practice, and are completed within budget and on schedule.

* Operating with a high level of autonomy, and collaborative mindset, to:
o Lead and project manage the design, development and delivery of prioritised C&I projects/programmes, establish clear governance and ensure each plan, project or workflow meets agency standards and best practice and is completed within budget and on schedule.
o Regularly engage with stakeholders and project teams to manage project/programme expectations and provide clear guidelines, advice and support share ideas, and resolve problems on an ongoing basis. Negotiate with diverse stakeholders holding varying and conflicting expectations, viewpoints and interests.
o Provide specialist technical advice and participate in conservation processes as required, including condition assessments, managing contractors, and undertaking practical conservation work.
o Prepare high quality reports, business cases, project plans, and briefs. Maintain efficient project records and research data through the appropriate archiving systems to ensure information is recorded and accessible.
o Manage the procurement processes for relevant projects.
o Monitor and manage budgets, milestones and schedules for individual projects to ensure all projects are delivered on time and in budget.
* Contribute constructively to:
o operational and strategic planning, the development of strategy, policy or program implementation to enhance protection and management of our sites
o the delivery and enhancement of the PAHSMA and C&I vision
o building and maintaining strong teamwork, high performance and open communication, and a positive, collaborative and respectful workplace culture across the team

Other duties as required by the Director of Conservation & Infrastructure

* Current Drivers Licence.
* Ability to travel (southern Tasmania).
* Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated sound experience in heritage or related field.
