Primary objective
The position is responsible for the processing of grant applications across multiple programs, as well as using the grant
management systems to undertake project and system support activities. Important traits are decision making skills, a strong
customer-centric focus, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, strong attention to detail, integrity and a confident work
ethic that effectively embraces change.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Accurately and effectively assess grant applications and payments across multiple programs in line with program criteria,
relevant Grant's and financial management frameworks, using the Department's online grants management systems.
2. Effectively and efficiently deliver grant program outcomes in line with program terms and conditions.
3. Undertake a range of functions including assessments across multiple high-volume and complex grant programs applying
governance and compliance principles.
4. Deliver accurate and quality information on grant programs, including assisting with the resolution of queries and
complaints.
5. Provide support to Senior Grants Officers, Assistant Director and Director with projects and other continuous
improvement activities.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills and ability to exercise judgement and attention to detail.
1. High level of computer literacy and demonstrated experience and ability to use a variety of online systems such as grant
administration systems, Microsoft Office software packages, databases and TRM records management applications or
similar.
1. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team within a high-volume processing environment.
2. High level organisational skills and, written and verbal communication skills, including a flexible attitude with the ability
to adapt to changing priorities.
5. Experience in undertaking assessments, reviews and evaluations similar to those needed for grant programs and
exercising sound judgement within set parameters, balancing competing priorities and meeting deadlines across multiple
programs.
1. Experience handling and resolving complaints and constructively engaging with clients and stakeholders.
