Job Description

The Marion C. Early R-V School District located in Morrisville, MO, is accepting qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Football Coach. MCE is a 4 day school week district located conveniently between Bolivar and Springfield, MO.

Summary

The Marion C. Early R-V School district is seeking an assistant football coach for the Fall of 2026 season. The MCE school district will be joining the Pleasant Hope R-VI school district for a co‐op football season this upcoming Fall season. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing student‐athletes both on and off the field. Qualified candidates will be expected to provide transportation via school van or bus, depending on the number of athletes participating, from MCE to Pleasant Hope for football activities each day.

Teachers / Coaches are responsible for providing direct instruction to students and maintaining an environment conducive to learning. Teaching/Coaching experience preferred, but not required. 60+ Credit Hours are required if you are not a full time teacher in the district. Qualifications Education

Bachelor's Degree, Graduate Degree preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

A valid Missouri teaching certificate and complete transcript(s) of college credit must be on file for each teacher before the beginning of each new school year. It is the duty of each teacher to possess a valid certificate that covers the academic year (the teaching assignment/s and all other areas listed on the certificate). The teacher must assure that all professional development requirements and other DESE requirements are met to keep certification current.

* Complete forms, write reports and engage in written correspondence with parents
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and community
* Present information effectively and respond to questions

* Solve a variety of problems in many different situations
* Interpret instructions presented in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
* Apply knowledge of current educational theory and instructional techniques while presenting subject matter to students
Other Skills and Abilities
* Identify needs and abilities of individual students and to adapt instructional methods accordingly
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents
Technology
* Perform basic computer functions such as word processing and internet use
* Use district software for recording grades and finding student information
* Utilize smart boards, projectors and other instructional technology provided by the district
Physical Demands
* Speak and hear in an environment where numerous conversations and activities may be taking place simultaneously
* Move around the classroom
* Read handwritten or printed material
* Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
Conditions and Environment

The individual who holds this position will regularly work in a school environment that is noisy and active. Occasionally the individual will be required to work outside in rain and snow and temperatures below freezing and above 100 degrees to perform such tasks as loading and unloading students from district transportation and supervising recess.
