Workshop Operations Assistant
We are seeking an enthusiastic and mechanically-minded individual to assist in our workshop operations.
This role involves maintaining the yard's general tidiness, organising equipment, fuelling up forklifts, arranging deliveries and meeting customers on site. Pressure cleaning forklifts and record keeping are also key aspects of the job.
About the Role
* Maintain a safe and efficient working environment by ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard.
* Organise forklifts and equipment in the yard to maximise productivity.
* Fuel forklifts upon return from hire and ensure they are ready for the next task.
* Arrange deliveries and loading/unloading of containers and trucks as required.
* Meet and greet customers on site and provide excellent customer service.
* Clean forklifts prior to hire/sale and ensure they are in good working order.
* Complete accurate and timely record keeping using computer and tablet systems.
Key Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar role within a workshop or industrial setting.
* Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and meet the requirements of the role.
* Holding a current driver's license and forklift ticket is essential.
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to work are necessary.
* Intermediate computer skills and basic mechanical knowledge/ aptitude are also required.
* Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening will be conducted.
