About the Role:
The Early Psychosis Clinical Lead (Continuing Care Team) will provide clinical leadership within the headspace Adelaide team, ensuring services align with the Early Psychosis Prevention and Intervention Centre (EPPIC) model. The role focuses on youth-friendly, team-based case management and therapeutic interventions for young people aged 12-25 at risk of or experiencing early psychosis.
The Clinical Lead will contribute to the development of the headspace Early Psychosis (hEP) program, focusing on early detection, early intervention, and recovery-focused care to support both symptomatic and functional recovery. This position works collaboratively with community agencies and is responsible for the clinical, administrative, and systems management of the Continuing Care Team.
This role will require you to be on call on weekends, on a rotational basis with the hEP leadership team.
Experience Requirements:
* Significant experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, including clinical supervision and fostering a culture of hope, optimism, and recovery.
* Expertise in service development, continuous quality improvement, and performance management.
* Advanced clinical skills in working with young people and their families, particularly those at risk of or experiencing psychosis.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups, including young people, health professionals, and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment while using relevant information technology and data management tools.
* Knowledge of the Australian mental health system, relevant legislation for young people, and experience with research and evaluation integration.
Qualification and Other Requirements:
Applicants must hold qualifications in one of the following disciplines:
* Psychology – Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Social Work – Registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
* Occupational Therapy – Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Nursing – Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Credentialed Mental Health Nurse status through the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses
* Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
* Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC)
* Drivers Licence
