About the role:
You’ll manage a portfolio of diverse and sophisticated clients across a range of industries including professional services, healthcare, property, investment entities, and SMEs. You'll be hands-on in both technical compliance and value-added advisory, including:
* Preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals
* Tax planning and structuring advice
* Preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT calculations and Division 7A management
* Opportunity to continue working with SMSFs if this is within your skill set
* Exposure to corporate group structures, inter-entity transactions, and reconciliations
* Direct client contact
* Opportunity to tailor a role to your career progression needs and interests, whether that is flexibly balancing family responsibilities and/or seeking to grow into a management role. While we have capacity for a full time role, we can accomodate a part time position for the right applicant.
What you’ll need to succeed:
* CA or CPA qualified (or in progress) with 5+ years’ experience in Australian public practice
* Strong technical grounding in Australian taxation and accounting standards including proficiency in complex tax issues including fringe benefits tax, payroll tax, Division 7A and capital gains tax.
* Solid experience with leading cloud accounting apps, Xero and XPM essential
* Ability to manage workflow independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Well developed analytical and critical thinking skills
* A proactive mindset and willingness to contribute to process improvement and firm growth
