As we continue to expand nationally, we are creating a new Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager role to help drive our next phase of growth.

The Opportunity
This Adelaide-based role combines strategic business development and technical solution design.
You will identify and pursue new opportunities, develop tailored proposals, and align client requirements with our enterprise communication platforms.
You will also manage inbound enquiries and smaller transactional opportunities, ensuring responsive engagement, accurate quoting and conversion into ongoing client relationships.
This is a consultative, mid-career role requiring someone who can:
* Convert enquiries and early-stage opportunities into structured, revenue-generating outcomes
* Build trusted relationships with executive, operational, and ICT stakeholders
* Understand complex technical and integration requirements
* Independently develop structured proposals and tender responses
* Navigate formal procurement environments
* Translate business needs into practical, commercially sound solutions
The role works closely with Marketing and Customer Success to ensure strong alignment from opportunity through to implementation.
Some interstate travel and on-site client engagement will be required.

Key Responsibilities
* Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities across public sector, enterprise and critical services environments
* Develop and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers, ICT leaders and procurement teams
* Respond to RFPs, RFQs and formal tender processes
* Prepare high-quality technical and commercial proposals
* Align client requirements with Ikonix Technology's enterprise communication solutions
* Deliver presentations and solution demonstrations to technical and executive audiences
* Maintain a structured pipeline and contribute to accurate forecasting
* Provide market insight to support product and strategic development
* Handle inbound enquiries and prepare structured quotations for transactional sales opportunities

About You
You are commercially astute, technically confident and relationship-driven. You enjoy solving complex problems and are equally comfortable in front of customers or developing detailed solution documentation.
You will likely have:
* 5+ years' experience in B2B sales, business development or sales engineering
* Genuine interest in product positioning and understanding the competitive landscape
* Experience working within regulated or structured procurement environments (e.g. government, healthcare, telecommunications, utilities or enterprise ICT)
* Solid understanding of software platforms, ICT infrastructure and telecommunications concepts
* Experience developing formal proposals or tender submissions
* Comfortable managing both strategic opportunities and shorter-cycle transactional sales
* Excellent written communication skills
* Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and decision-makers
* Highly organised with disciplined pipeline management
Experience within enterprise communications, healthcare ICT, public sector environments or critical services industries will be highly regarded.
