In this vital role, you'll assist the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in providing high-quality care while guiding and supporting a dynamic team of nurses and midwives.
As a key member of our leadership team, you'll help ensure continuity of care and contribute to the smooth running of the unit through effective management and development.
Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and support to nursing and midwifery staff.
Collaborate on the implementation of practice changes.
Assist with the management of staffing, performance, recruitment, and rostering.
Promote quality care and ensure best practice is followed across the unit.
Mentor and develop less experienced staff and supervise students.
What we're looking for: Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of post-registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively solve problems and manage conflicts.
Experience in managing teams, workloads, and meeting deadlines.
A flexible, innovative approach to healthcare challenges.
Knowledge of current legislation, healthcare standards, and quality improvement systems.
Riverton District Soldiers Memorial Hospital Riverton Hospital has 7 acute beds and 20 RAC aged care beds.
