Christmas is a special time for our customers; we celebrate the festive season and help them stay with family or maintain relationships. We also provide emotional support when they need it most.
We need Casual Disability Support Workers to assist customers during the Christmas period.
Casual hours are available in
Port Macquarie NSW
for Disability Support Workers. Positions may lead to ongoing part-time permanent roles, with training for all new starters.
Significant availability is a must during the Christmas period across days, nights, weekends and public holidays – about 4 days per week between 2 pm and 10 am. Generous penalties apply.
About the Position
Our DSWs support people in their day-to-day living, providing quality 24/7 care in supported independent living accommodation settings (SIL/Group Homes) to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for customers.
You will provide direct support across a range of customer needs, including domestic and personal care assistance and helping customers to access and maintain positive connections to the community.
About You
Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends and public/school holidays with significant availability.
Resilience, confidence and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships.
Ability to obtain an NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement.
Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs.
Smartphone.
Current Australian driver's licence.
