Why this role matters
We are currently seeking a values-driven and proactive Thrift Shop Assistant to ensure quality customer service, diligence in cash handling and banking, quality sorting of donated goods, pricing and maintaining the general appearance and upkeep of the shop.
You will successfully
* Maximise sales and revenue through processing of donations to the store by receiving, sorting, pricing, hanging of saleable goods and disposal of non-saleable goods
* Optimal store stock levels are maintained
* Deliver excellence in customer service
* Assist in organisation of store promotions
* Assist volunteers
* Assist with the store financial processes including completion of daily cash reconciliation, preparation of cash floats and banking
* Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of store and facilities are upheld
This is a casual position. Salary and conditions are in accordance with General Retail Award Level 2.

What we're looking for
* Retail experience
* Experience working with volunteers (desirable)
* Basic working knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel
* Certificate in Retail Operations / Diploma of Business (desirable)
* A current VIC Drivers Licence
* Ability to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
