Overview
Location: Hunter/CC Outreach – CPA Home & Community service in the Hunter/Newcastle Region. Cerebral Palsy Alliance is a globally recognised, award-winning organisation known for disability support services and sector-leading staff training and development. Embark now on a journey as a Support Worker in our Home & Community service across the Hunter/Newcastle Region. Primarily, these positions include community-based one-on-one support with opportunities to engage clients and encourage independence in the community.
We offer permanent part-time and casual opportunities with 15–20+ hours per week.
The Role
Support adults living in CPA group homes to lead rich, independent lives. Daily responsibilities may include:
* Providing respectful support with personal care, mealtimes, medication, and daily routines
* Encouraging skill-building, independence, and decision-making
* Supporting community engagement, social connection and transport (including use of CPA vans and in your own vehicle)
* Following person-centred plans with empathy and professionalism
* Building positive relationships with clients
What You\'ll Bring

* A can-do attitude and growth mindset — open to learning and making a difference
* Professional Behaviour Support experience or lived experience preferred, though a can-do attitude is key
* NSW Driver's Licence (P2 or above)
* Physical capability to support clients with mobility or transfers
* Availability for a minimum of 3 days per week (15–20+ hours) and shifts between 9am and 4pm
* Willingness to travel to locations across the region
