Senior Infrastructure Test Analyst with NV1 clearance - Canberra- 12 months+ 12 months
We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst / QA Test Analyst to support the delivery of complex enterprise technology initiatives within a secure government environment. The role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing testing activities across a mix of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) platforms and bespoke applications, ensuring quality outcomes across functional, integration, system, and non-functional testing streams.
The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on testing capability, sound judgement, and the ability to produce and maintain high-quality testing artefacts while delivering cost-effective QA outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and defect reports.
* Perform testing across COTS products, bespoke developed solutions, and integrated enterprise platforms.
* Manage test planning, execution, traceability, and defect management using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
* Validate REST APIs, SOAP web services, and web-based applications.
* Support end-to-end testing activities including system, integration, regression, user acceptance, and environment-related testing.
* Maintain, update, and clearly articulate all required test artefacts and quality documentation.
* Work collaboratively with business analysts, developers, solution architects, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
* Contribute to a cost-effective and fit-for-purpose QA approach by leveraging appropriate tools, resources, and testing methods.
* Support testing across cloud-hosted and on-premises environments, including CI/CD-enabled delivery models.
* Assist with risk identification, defect triage, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of test practices.
Mandatory Requirements
* ISTQB Foundation certification or higher.
* Minimum 8 years' experience in software testing / quality assurance roles.
* Demonstrated experience testing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and bespoke coded products.
* Strong experience using Azure DevOps for test planning, execution, traceability, and defect management.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver QA services in a cost-effective manner, including selecting appropriate testing methods, tools, and resources.
* Proven capability to prepare, maintain, and communicate testing artefacts including test plans, test cases, scripts, defect logs, and completion reports.
* Experience testing REST services, SOAP web services, and web applications.
* Minimum NV1 security clearance.

* Experience in MOE (Managed Operating Environment) and infrastructure / hardware testing.
* Experience testing low-code / no-code platforms such as Salesforce, SmartIQ, and Microsoft Power Apps.
* Experience working with cloud-hosted applications, CI/CD pipelines, and on-premises hosted systems.
* Experience working in government or other secure enterprise environments.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
