Full Job Description Role
Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to support the Payroll Manager and ensure the seamless and timely processing of payroll. If you thrive on accuracy, problem-solving, and collaboration, this role is a perfect opportunity to make an impact.
What You'll Do
* Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for a workforce of 800 permanent and 200 casual employees across Australia.
* Act as a dependable backup for the Payroll Manager during planned or unplanned absences.
* Support payroll-related general ledger tasks, financial reporting, and month-end activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Manage novated lease arrangements and perform monthly reconciliations with precision.
* Conduct payroll-related balance sheet reconciliations and oversee salary sacrifice implementations.
* Prepare and lodge statutory returns, including compliance with ABS reporting requirements.
* Drive process improvement by implementing best practices and standardizing payroll procedures.
What We're Looking For
* Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation, including Single Touch Payroll.
* Experience using Employment Hero or Sage MicroPay is advantageous but not essential.
* A sharp eye for detail and demonstrated accuracy in your work.
* A team player who excels under pressure and adapts to evolving priorities.
