Paralegal / Legal Secretary - Family Law

Our lovely client are a boutique firm based NOR whom specialise in Family Law and have proudly built up their client base due to client referrals. They currently have a opportunity for a Paralegal / Legal Secretary to join this close-knit & friendly team that has a growing client base & supportive environment for not only the staff but also the clients - even having an office pup as part of the team!
Great opportunity to work closer to home with parking and although the preference is for full-time hours they are also happy to consider those looking for 30 hours a week as well, provided those hours can be done across the week. **Duties include but are not limited to**:
- Meeting, communicating and interacting with clients and lawyers
- Taking instruction & providing support to lawyers
- Drafting court documents, other legal documents, correspondence etc
- Assisting on lawyer's files
- E-filing
- Typing
- Diary management
- File management
- Collation of documentation
- Ensuring company database & clients details are up to date
- Time recording & assist with billing
- Liaising with third parties as required
- Manage workflow to ensure all deadlines are met
- General Administrative assistance to the team to assist in the smooth running of the day to day office
- Ad hoc tasks when required
**Requirements**:
- 3+ yrs experience within a Paralegal / Legal Secretary position
- Prior experience within a Family Law environment with knowledge of legal terminology, regulations and commonwealth courts portal and family law systems
- Handle confidential information professionally & with discretion
- Experience with FilePro or similar legal matter management system
- Intermediate skills in MS Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel
- Professionally presented with excellent communication skills - Written & Verbal
- Be punctual, dependable and well organised with day to day tasks.
- Have initiative and be pro-active with excellent organisational skills.
- Able to prioritise workload & keep staff informed of where tasks are at.
- Have excellent attention to detail & accuracy with data entry
- Ability to multi-task and work well to deadlines
